On top of his founder/director role of Get Out, Steve is currently the Head Coach of the mens soccer team at SUNY Cortland, the owner/director of NYid Camps, and the NYS CAP Director for Northeast Rush Soccer. Steve has a Master’s degree in Exercise Science and specializes in sport/movement psychology, group culture, outdoor fitness programming and fostering winning teams and individuals.
Steve enjoys stand-up paddle boarding, hiking, trail running, cycling, mountain biking, downhill skiing, alpine touring, xc skiing, winter camping, climbing, kayaking, snowshoeing, and various other outdoor activities.
Those who work with Steve will quickly find themselves re-writing their own personal story through hard work, new experiences, deep conversation, learning new skills/techniques and safely leaving their comfort zone.
Heidi is currently the Head Coach of the SUNY Cortland women’s soccer team and has had very notable national success during her tenure. She has worked with players of various age groups and levels over the years, and has also served as a head coach of the Olympic Development Program in New York.
Heidi holds degrees in both psychology and sport science, which pairs extremely well when working with people in the sport and outdoor areas. She enjoys running, biking, paddle boarding, kayaking, and hiking. Within Get Out, she specializes in working with the older population during walks and hikes by renewing the client’s sense of purpose and well-being!
Dr. Rebeccah Bernard is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist who practices Wilderness Therapy, an evidenced-based approach to behavioral health in the outdoors, and an active balancing between mind and body wellness.
Dr. Bernard specializes in anxiety and stress management, trauma related disorders, mindfulness skills, management of depression, and performance enhancement for athletes.
Dr. Bernard is an avid hiker, with much of her love for the outdoors stemming from the high peaks of the west, paddling along the Chesapeake bay, and both playing and coaching D1 soccer.

Mike Buckley is an U.S. Army veteran of thirty-two years and multiple deployments in the Balkans and Middle East. During his time abroad, he experienced firsthand the incredible therapeutic power of nature and the outdoors to improve emotional, spiritual and physical health.
Formerly an Assistant Professor at the United States Military Academy at West Point, his education includes a M.S. in Kinesiology and a U.S. Army War College fellowship at Syracuse University. A veteran of 27 marathons, Mike now spends as much of his free time as possible in primitive surroundings and on local trails and paths
He summited Mt. Kilimanjaro, thru-hiked the 800 mile Arizona Trail, hiked the Presidential Range Traverse in the White Mountains, and spent quite a bit of time on the high peaks in numerous mountain ranges. He intends to bike-pack across the United States on the Great American Rail Trail and complete the Western Wildlands Bike-packing route in the very near future.
Former collegiate soccer coach, former teacher, current Organizational Psychologist, and aspiring 46er. Matthew’s love of the outdoors is only surpassed by his love of working with individuals and teams to identify and transform limiting mindsets.

Dr. Erica Pratt is a leader, teacher and coach with a passion for physical activity and the outdoors. She holds degrees in physical education and exercise/movement science and is currently pursuing a wellness life coaching board certification. Her interests include hiking, mountain biking, skiing (multiple styles), paddling, disc golf, rock climbing and most recently, sailing.
With over 20 years of professional experience in individual and group settings, her background includes athletic coaching, positive youth development, fitness programming, challenge course facilitation, day/overnight camps for children, and advising outdoor clubs.
